Organization is absolutely critical to success as a teacher. You are going to end up with a multitude of documents, images, videos, spreadsheets, forms, and other before you even start teaching. Being able to locate them when you need them is key. Develop a system and stick to it. I use multiple storage options including Google Drive, Dropbox,  district share files, Diigo, Pocket, Flipboard, and Evernote. The tool I use depends on the type of data I need to save and what I plan to do with it. I don't recommend you starting out with quite so many storage locations! Your flash drive, Diigo, and Google Drive are great starting points for now.  You might also consider Dropbox as a back up for your flash drive. You get 2gb free to start and can access your files anywhere you have Internet access.

  2. My favorite School related movie would be Stand and Deliver because I watched it so many times during rainy day recesses.

  3. My favorite teacher movie would be School Of Rock. I like it because Jack Black's character is a mess, yet he inspires a group of students (who at times are arguably smarter than Jack Black's character) to not only be inspired by music and have an interest in playing and performing, but by being better people and standing up for what they believe in. Plus it's just a silly, cute movie.

  4. My favorite "school" movie would probably be "Finding Nemo." I know that this movie isn't directly based on school, but the few scenes with the teacher and Nemo's first day of school always reminds me about my first day of Kindergarten and how excited I was and how scared my mom was.

  5. I am actually in love with the movie and book, "The Wave". When I first read and watched it in middle school, I was very impacted by its message! And that means something to me, because I don't remember most of middle school anyways. It is an older movie, but I highly recommend it to any one going to teach middle or high school. You can find it on Youtube, I believe. :)

  7. My favorite "teacher" movie is "Dead Poet's Society." I like this movie because of Robin Williams as the teacher. He was very inspirational, and each student had a unique personality. We also studied this in one of my English classes in high school and learned more about the symbolism and themes and that made me appreciate it more. It as a funny movie and it also made you think about your life and how you approach certain situations whether they are in school or other areas of your life.

  8. School of Rock is one of my favorite teacher/ school movies. Even though it is very unrealistic, it is hilarious. I really enjoyed how Jack Black went into the school and turned the children into musicians. He not only turned them in musicians, he helped them find something they fell in love with, music.

  9. It was always a good day when you walked into class and saw that big cart with the TV strapped to it and the VHS player underneath. I remember being in sixth grade and there always being a heated debate on wither we should watch Finding Nemo again or try something different. Finding Nemo always won. It's safe to say that I have and always will be a fan of Nemo!

  10. The Breakfast Club. This is the type of movie that stays with you. It's a generational movie, but at the same time it is timeless. I love how the film deals with social life in high school. Great movie!

  13. My favorite "school" movie that I can think of right now is Clueless. It's a funny portrayal of the "typical" high school experience. I like the lady teacher that Cher and Dion give a makeover to. She was sweet and tried to get the students involved in caring about the community with the Pismo Beach drive. The movie just makes me laugh.

  15. Besides going to public schools. The children in my family were also home schooled by our family mother of mothers (died, 1997). She was our master teacher who also kept our ancestor sacred knowledge from their ancient mystery schools of thought concerning who we once were (identity) and her lectures has now been made into tapes and movies but not yet available to the public, but hopefully soon.

I also like Hidden Colors: The Untold History Of People Of Aboriginal, Moor & African [Kemet] Descent by Tariq Nasheed; Hidden Colors 2: The Triumph Of Melanin; and Hidden Colors 3: The Rules Of Racism all equally the same.

Note: I wanted to expand in greater detail is why I reposted a couple times.
